Balancing your gut flora

I spoke recently on a national health teleconference about a new product in our range which is a powerful probiotic. This is newly available in Australia. I heard some wonderful testimonies from Mums on the call getting results with their children (from colic to constipation) and an older gentleman getting relief from his diverticulitis.

How do probiotics help your health? Here are some key points to be aware of:
  • 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive system
  • 500 species of bacteria live inside you
  • Digestive system bacteria are referred to as "good" and "bad" - in balance there should be 85% good and 15% bad
  • About one hundred trillion bacteria live inside you — more than TEN TIMES the number of cells you have in your entire body.
  • The term probiotics comes from the Greek word “for life” (so consider the implications of "antibiotics” after hearing that!)

The processed foods so inherent in most diets can upset the balance of bacteria, as can other lifestyle factors and drugs such as antibiotics.

If you would like more information on how to improve your digestive health and get great results like our other customers, get in touch today and we'd love to help you. We can help you feel better and enjoy your life more!
